Stuffed Toy Collections
The origin of stuffed toys can be traced back deeper in the past when real skins of animals, specifically hunted animals, were stuffed for some personal purposes of the hunters. The very idea became popular that resulted to become a hobby to many individuals who collect stuffed toys made of synthetic materials. In Great Britain, they called them “soft toys” while in America is “plush toys” where the world’s famous stuffed toy originated: the Teddy Bear, which has recently, became a collector’s item.

Today, we can now find a wide variety of collections of stuffed toys of different kinds of animals from Lion & Winnie the Pooh to Monkeys & Tarsier, among many others. Some buy stuffed toys for the pleasure and comfort they get from the hobby of having the cute stuffs around. Others purchase a whole collection of stuffed toys for gifts on special occasions. Still others collect stuffed toys especially the (Teddy) Bears because they just cannot help after they got the germ of which the Greeks called “arctophiles”, also know as “lover of bears”.
